Abstract
1396594 Embossed plastics film laminate FMC CORP 17 April 1972 [11 May 1971] 17651/72 Headings B5N and B5B [Also in Division H1] An impervious polymeric film, e.g. polyethylene terephthalate has permanent, closelypacked embossments aligned in parallel rows, each row being in staggered relationship with adjacent rows. The film thickness may be 0À05 mm., and the embossments, which need not be hexagonal, may be made by heating the film to below its softening point and nipping it under relatively high pressure between a cool, engraved roll and a rubber-covered back-up roll. The film may be laminated.
