Abstract

1396551 Scaffold trestles; building blocks M M MOULTON 5 May 1972 [2 Feb 1972] 4783/72 Headings E1B and EIS A box-like unit for building up a scoffold trestle comprises a hollow rectangular parallelepipedic body of plastics material, the top and sides being closed, the length being an integral multiple of the width, the top or bottom having an aperture 13 at each corner and 14 at intervals of unit width along the length, the bottom or top respectively having a projection 15, 16 aligned with each aperture, whereby such units may be stacked (see Fig 2, not shown) with projections and apertures interengaging, the intermediate apertures 14 being of double length to be able to receive two projections. Intermediate projections 16 at opposite sides of the unit are relatively offset on opposite sides of a transverse plane 17 centrally through the associated apertures 14. The top 11, which serves as a platform, may be strengthened by gussets 12. The bottom of the unit may be closed or open.
