Abstract
1395335 Accelerated-release pharmaceutical capsules LILLY INDUSTRIES Ltd 11 Jan 1973 [12 Jan 1972] 1377/72 Heading A5B Drug capsules which release their contents more quickly in use contain, in addition to the drug, 2-65% based on the weight of the drug of an alkali metal carboxymethyl starch containing 15-35 carboxymethyl groups per 100 glucose units. The capsules are generally hard gelatin capsules. The starch derivative may be sodium carboxymethyl starch. Drugs specified include: cephalexin, paracetamol, aspirin, phenobarbitone, dextropropoxyphene napsylate, amylobarbitone, ethinamate, phenylbutazone, penicillamine hydrochloride, sulphadimidine, acetohexamide.
