Abstract

1394352 Valves SOC ANON DBA 16 March 1973 [6 April 1972] 12791/73 Heading F2V In a solenoid-operated valve an armature 28 on energization of a coil 26 first moves a small diameter closure member 33 off its seat 36 to equalize pressure across a large diameter closure member 34 and then moves the latter off its seat 24 to interconnect an inlet 16 and an outlet 18. The armature 28 abuts the end of a rod 30 integral with the closure member 33 which slides in the bore of a ring 38 crimped in the closure member 34 until the head of the closure member 33 abuts the ring whereafter the two closure members move as a single unit away from the seat 24.
