1391980 Electrostatic printing machines OCE-VAN DER GRINTEN NV 26 Oct 1972 [26 Oct 1971] 49495/72 Heading G2H In an electrostatic printing machine in which the photo-conductive member is in the form of an endless band 1 lateral drifting of the band as it moves through the machine is prevented by causing it to pass over a surface moving at a different speed. In the embodiment a hairy fixed surface 25, Fig.3, is employed having end guiding flanges 26, 27. The band 1 is pressed against the hairy surface 25 by a guide roller 21. Instead of the surface or in addition thereto spring loaded flexible bands 28 may be used.
