Abstract

1391505 Pneumatic end catchers LUWA AG 13 June 1972 [18 June 1971] 27644/72 Headings D1J and D1F In a pneumatic end catcher a cyclinder 64 is provided with a tangential channel 60 for compressed air and an end catching bore 50. Suction is provided by bore 8. The end catching bore 50 is within a slidable conduit 48 having a handle 44 and is shown in its end catching position. When retracted (phantom line position) the conduit 48 covers the tangential channel 60 to stop the whirling air flow which otherwise exists in cylinder 64. The operating parts are located in a sleeve 26 which may be reversed in a bore 4 in its housing body 2. Suitable dimensions of operating parts are given. The apparatus is particularly suitable for texturing machines to facilitate the exchange of take-up bobbins at the winding station.
