Abstract

1390483 Excavator L B MILLER and J D CROOK 9 April 1973 16839/73 Heading E1F An excavator comprises a boom 11 adapted to be attached at one of its ends to a vehicle 13, a support frame 16 connected to the other end of the boom and a dipper arm 10 comprising a member 20 connected at one of its ends to the frame 16 for rotation with respect to the frame and a member 23 telescopingly engaging the member 20 and carrying a back hoe bucket 29, means 30 for causing telescoping of the dipper arm 10 and means 28 actuating the bucket. The dipper arm member 20 is supported in bearings 18, 19 on the frame 16 for rotation about its longitudinal axis by means of a motor 17.
