Abstract
1389854 Electro-photographic apparatus CANNON KK 28 Feb 1972 [1 March 1971] 9050/72 Heading G2H [Also in Division H1] A corona discharge device 25 as described in Specification 1317828 included in electrophotographic apparatus to facilitate the removal of dielectric liquid is modified by the provision of means 26 for confining the corona ions (see Division H 1). The device causes developing liquid on the surface of a photo-sensitive medium 15 carried by drum 16 to form a bulge until it contacts a member 26 and flows under gravity along the member 26 and guide 28 to the developer container 20. As an alternative to the device 27 a similar device 29 in conjunction with a grounded electrode 30 may be used to cause developing liquid on the surface of transfer medium 21 to form a bulge for easy removal by suction or other removing means. A further similar device 31 may be used to facilitate the removal of cleaning liquid 24.
