Abstract

1388344 Automatic docking system C H WILSON JNR 19 Sept 1973 [10 Oct 1972] 43902/73 Heading B7S An automatic docking structure comprises a pair of elongate booms 17, 18 pivoted one on each boom support station 11a, 12a at the end of two laterally spaced dock sides 11, 12 of a slip 14 and which on pivoting span the entrance bebetween the dock sides. A harness rope 21 passes round pulleys 19, 20 and extends between the booms so as to be engaged by the bow portion of a boat 10 entering between the booms and to draw the booms to a closed position behind the boat when the boat reaches a docking position between the dock sides.
