Jackets and covers. - A pneumatic tyre comprises an air-tube 1, of the section shown or otherwise, between which and the tread of the cover 2 is fitted a band of hard baked granulated cork formed of sectors 3 and wedging-portions 6. The spaces 4 may be filled by bands of solid or perforated rubber, and spongy-rubber strips 7 may be fitted between the cork sections.
