1380855 Seat slides C ROB HAMMERSTEIN GmbH 12 March 1973 [17 March 1972] 11709/73 Heading A4J A vehicle seat slide rail comprises on each side an outer rail 1 and an inner rail 2 held against relative movement by the engagement of a horizontal peg 7 with one of a number of notches in a rail 3 connected to the outer rail, the horizontal peg 7 being on a lever 6 pivotally connected about a horizontal axis 9 to a bearing support 11 fixed to the inner rail 2. The levers 6 on each side of the seat may be inter-connected by a U-shaped stirrup 10 defining a hand lever. The inner rails on each side of the seat may be inter-connected by a stiffened metal plate. Each lever may be provided with two pegs engageable with two notches of the respective notched rail 3.
