Abstract

1378590 Dynamo-electric machines GENERAL ELECTRIC CO 30 Oct 1972 [21 April 1972] 49845/72 Heading H2A The stator core 10 of a dynamo-electric machine is secured to a bearing plate 12 by rigid rods 15 mounted on the core and held in sockets 22 in the bearing plate by metallic plugs. The motor shown has four U-shaped rods 15 engaging grooves in the laminated stator core 10. The metallic plugs are of zinc or lead alloy cast in situ. A method of assembly of the motor ensuring correct axial and radial alignment of the motor rotor is disclosed.
