Abstract

137,599. Armstrong, F. G. G. Jan. 18, 1919. Spray carburettors.-The device described in Specification 19616/13 is modified by mounting the fuel-controlling valve D in such a manner as to be influenced directly by the suction, the valve acting to decrease the supply of fuel as the suction increases. The valve is carried by a head d which slides inside the air valve C, both valves being adjusted simultaneously by a wire C<1>, and the valve D independently by a wire F, as described in the above-mentioned Specification. A spring E is now interposed between the head d and the wire F to produce the effect stated. In a modified form, the wire F is replaced by a screwed rod.
