1375295 Magnetic recording media BADISCHE ANILIN- & SODA-FABRIK AG 24 March 1972 [26 March 1971] 13826/72 Heading C3R Magnetic coatings for the manufacture of magnetic recording media comprise a solvent dispersion of a magnetic pigment in a binder comprising a mixture of 10 to 50% by weight of a polycarbonate derived from a bis-(4-hydroxyaryl) alkane and 90 to 50% by weight of a polyester urethane derived from a diisocyanate, a polyester which is the reaction product of an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid and a C 4-10 aliphatic diol, and a C 4-10 glycol. The coatings are applied to non-magnetic supports, in particular films of linear polyesters, such as polyethylene terephthalate to form magnetic tapes.
