Abstract
1374998 Ink ribbon spools KORES HOLDING ZUG AG 28 Oct 1971 [12 Nov 1970 8 Get 1971] 50244/71 Heading B8M An ink ribbon spool is adapted for use with a variety of spool holding mechanisms by means of an adaptor 6 comprising a hollow cylinder 15 provided with inwardly directed resilient projections 18 each comprising a first radial portion 20 and a second portion 22 inclined thereto, and an end plate providing a flange 28. The end plate is formed with an aperture 26 having three radially extending slots which may receive drive pins as at 12. A spool used with the adaptor has a cylindrical bore large enough to fit on the largest spool receiving shafts and including a ridge (7, Fig. 1, not shown) for fitting in a groove adaptor. Two adaptors may be fitted to a spool, one from each end of the central bore, the adaptors correspondingly being of a length equal to half the thickness of the ink ribbon on the spool.
