Abstract

1374553 Vehicle supports MALAGA AB 16 March 1973 [6 April 1972] 12852/73 Heading B7J A support trestle 1 for one end of a trailer 2 has a number of devices 4 which facilitate movement of the trestle, each device 4 comprising a housing 5 which is open at an end which faces, in use, towards the ground or other base surface 10 and holds a rolling member 9 or 11 which is displaceable in use between an operative position, as in Fig. 2, where it protrudes through the open end of the housing 5, and an inoperative position, as in Fig. 5, where it is retracted within the housing, the position of the member 9 or 11 being influenced by the load on the trestle and a spring 7 within the housing 5 which biases the member towards its operative position. The rolling member may be a wheel or roller 9, Fig. 2, or a ball 11, Fig. 5, carried by a piston member 8 within the housing 5, which is formed by a pipe stub closed at the top by a lid 6 against which the spring 7 abuts. Three or more devices 4 are provided on an H-shaped base-plate 3 of the trestle 1.
