Abstract

1374326 Amino acids ROEMMERS SOC ANON INDUSTRIAL COMERCIAL Y FINANOIERA 30 Oct 1972 [28 Oct 1971] 50001/72 Heading C2C The invention comprises compounds having the formula wherein X is =OH- or =N-; R 1 is an aliphatic radical containing at least one alcoholic hydroxyl, carboxylic or amino group; and R 2 and R 3 , which may be the same or different, are a hydrogen, chlorine, bromine or fluorine atom, or a methyl, substituted methyl, -CN, or group. They may be prepared by reacting an acid of the formula with an amine of the formula in a polar or non-polar solvent. The compounds of the invention exhibit anti-inflammatory activity and may be mixed with conventional pharmaceutical carriers and diluents.
