Abstract

1373787 Pulse generating circuits ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 15 Oct 1971 [16 Oct 1970] 48008/71 Heading H3T [Also in Divisions F2 and G3] A motor vehicle gear changing apparatus comprises a function generator (14, Fig. 2, not shown) as shown in Fig. 6. Voltage increase and decrease are controlled respectively by the charge and discharge time of a capacitor 73 across the positive feed Ub and output terminal 86. When an increase signal from the shift circuit appears at El, the capacitor 73 charges through a field effect transistor 74, resistor 75 and switching transistor 76, triggered by the signal E1, and ground line 53. A decrease shift signal at E2 discharges the capacitor 73 through a triggered switch transistor 80, field effect transistor 79 and resistor 78. Charge and discharge are at constant current and hence would produce linear voltage change. To obtain a non- linear, and if desired, stepped voltage change at output 86, a Zener diode 84 and variable resistor 85 are arranged across a computing amplifier 83, which also decouples the load from the capacitor.
