Abstract

1372090 Hydraulic accumulators CLAYTON DEWANDRE CO Ltd 12 Dec 1972 [31 Dec 1971] 60981/71 Heading F1D In an hydraulic accumulator of the type in which a liquid filled space is separated from a gas filled space by a piston, the piston 7, Fig.1, is cupshaped and spring-loaded by a spring 8 towards the liquid. The piston tapers towards the crown and has a bearing ring 11, a sealing ring 9 and an anti-extrusion ring 10. An end-plate 2 may be welded in position, retained by a union nut, Fig.2 (not shown), or held in place by a two-piece ring 17, Fig.3. The latter is retained by a locking plate 21 with fingers 22 which fit between the ends of the ring.
