Abstract

1370152 Lubricating rings LITTON INDUSTRIES Inc 27 Sept 1971 [19 Oct 1970] 45002/71 Heading D1D [Also in Division F2] A ring rail comprises lubricating passages for lubricant to be fed to a plurality of ring holders 2, each ring holder having an integral extension including a main conduit forming part of the lubricating system conveying lubricant to the ring holders, and a branch conduit 20 connecting the main conduit with a location adjacent a ring in the ring holder. The conduits may be formed by casting the holder around a T-shaped pipe. The conduits may be connected in series to a main fluid reservoir. Tubes connecting conduits in separate reservoirs may include intermediate lubricant reservoirs.
