Abstract
136,994. Rummey, R. April 15, 1919. Spades; forks.-An attachment for a spade, fork, or like digging-tool, to act as a fulcrum during the act of digging, comprises a piece of hoop-iron so shaped as to give a wide base a to rest on the ground, inclined sides a<1>, and a bentout part a<2> adapted to be clamped round the handle of the implement by a bolt a<3>. In a modification, the part clamped round the handle is made separate from the rest of the device, and is secured to it by a pivot.
