Abstract

1368895 Casting piles FOUNDATION PATENT & INVESTMENT CO NV 23 June 1972 [25 June 1971] 29670/72 Heading E1H A concrete pile is formed by making a hole with a tube 1, Fig. 1, lowering an elongated water-permeable bag 4 into the hole, filling the bag with concrete and vibrating the tube as it is withdrawn to facilitate the escape of water from the bag. The bag is tensioned by cables 6 arid a ring 7. So that an enlarged pile foot may be formed the bag stops short of the bottom of the hole and the tube 1 is withdrawn more slowly during the first part of its travel. A lost-shoe la is provided.
