Abstract
1368870 Electro-chemical analysis DRAGERWERK A G 22 Sept 1972 [24 Sept 1971] 44086/72 Addition to 1314877 Heading G1N The invention relates to a cell for determining the concentration of CO 2 in a closed circuit anaesthetising systems by measuring the conductivity of deionised water connected to the system by a gas permeable membrane. Instead of regenerating the cell from a reservoir of deionised water, as in the Parent Specification 1314877, the cell contains granules of a de-salting ion-exchange resin - preferably an anion/cation mixed bed exchanger. The granules are retained at the back of the cell by a nylon fabric screen. If the ion-exchange resin is conductive it may form one electrode.
