Abstract
1367643 Mortar MIDLAND DAMPCOURSING CO Ltd 15 Nov 1972 [16 Nov 1971] 53086/71 Heading C1H [Also in Division E1] Electrically conducting particles of colloidal size are dispersed in a hardenable mortar used for embedding at least one electrical conductor into the part of a built structure, situated above the ground. The particles may be Cu, Al or Fe or mixtures thereof or carbon. In an example aqueous colloidal graphite solution is mixed with sand and cement. The conductors may be in the form of rods or the bent out portions of an elongate strip. Moisture is removed from or prevented from moving in the structure by maintaining the or each conductor at earth or a positive potential (see Division E1).
