Abstract
1365601 Supported platinoid metal or oxide catalysts COMPTOIR LYON-ALEMANDLOUYOT 12 April 1972 [13 April 1971] 16939/72 Heading B1E Supported catalysts are prepared by impregnating a fibrous, refractory substrate with a platinoid metal sulphoresinate solution, drying the impregnated substrate and heating it in an oxygen-containing atmosphere at a temperature above 200C to convert the sulphoresinate into the platinoid metal or its oxide. The catalysts may be stabilised by further heating. They are useful in self-cleaning furnaces and in the purification of exhaust and waste gases.
