Abstract

1365077 Screening method SWECO Inc 28 May 1971 [1 June 1970 (4)] 17861/71 Heading B1D The filtering apparatus disclosed is the same as that disclosed in Specification 1,365,078 but the claims are directed to a method of screening a pumpable influent containing solids comprising feeding the influent to the inner surface of a cylindrical screen which is rotating at a speed such as to exert a centrifugal force of from 1 to 7 g on the influent, the influent being separated into a liquid effluent which passes through the screen and a solids-containing concentrate which flows from the inner surface of the screen.
