1364269 Photo-electric surface examination INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORP 13 Dec 1971 [15 Jan 1971] 57703/71 Addition to 1352940 Heading G1A Successive elements of a surface coil examined in respect of the inclination of their planes to the plane of the surface by directing a spot of light on the successive elements and determining the position of a resultant lens collected reflected image. Electrical signals indicative of the co-ordinates of the spot are produced by the detector which may comprise a position responsive detector, a matrix giving a digital evaluation or a scanning tube.
