136,350. Masterman, A. W. Jan. 27, 1919. Grates.-A barless grate consists of two similar and independent refractory side blocks A, B supporting between them a grating C with adjustable side pieces D, E. The blocks A, B have upturned sides A<2>, B<2> and fronts, and the gratings C, D, E have similarly upturned front ends. The front of the device is enclosed by a front plate with a draught-regulator, as usual, and with an inwardly-turned flange which overlaps the front edges of the parts A - - E.
