Abstract

1363477 Brush gear for dynamo-electric machines ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 26 Aug 1971 [27 Aug 1970] 40055/71 Heading H2A A brush box assembly 4, 5, 13 in an electric motor forms a detachable component which is insertable through an aperture 3 in the motor housing 1 into retaining guides 20 within the housing. The brush box assembly is provided by welding together a flat and a bent metal member 4, 5 to form a brush box 8, spring anchor 6 and terminal 9. The flat member 5, or a plastics plate 13 secured to it, engages the guides 20 and is retained in position by a locking plate 25, chamfered surfaces of the guides 20 and plate 13 ensuring accurate positioning of the plate. A cover closes the aperture 3. The motor may drive a hand grinder.
