Abstract

1362552 Scraper conveyers WHEWAY WATSON Ltd 22 June 1972 [22 June 1971] 29095/71 Heading B8A A scraper bar 10 for use in a centre strand chain conveyer comprises a strengthened and widened portion 11 having a recess 12 for receiving a block 16 so that the recess 12 is substantially wholly filled and the bar 10 presents a substantially continuous scraping face. Parallel grooves 14 in the recess 12 receive opposite limbs of an oval chain link and rebates 15 in the grooves may accommodate the thickened join of a link. The block 16 has a groove 17 for the thickened link portion. Screws (not shown) secure the portion 11 and the block 16 together. Grooves and recesses 20, 21 receive portions of a link adjacent the link which is clamped. The bar may be designed for use with a pair of chains at its central portion.
