Abstract
1362135 Lighting fitting A DAVIES & SONS (ELECTRICAL ENGS) Ltd 2 March 1972 9698/72 Heading F4R A lighting fitting comprises a lamp holder 10 with a first coil spring 18 arranged between the holder and a spring support plate 16 to absorb axial vibration, and a plurality of second coil springs 9 similarly arranged between holder and support plate to absorb axial and transverse vibration, one of the springs being a tension spring. There may be six equiangularly spaced tension springs 9; spring 18 may be a compression spring. The plate 16 may be secured to a casting 20 having a handle 25, the casting supporting an enclosure member 23 to which is attached a reflective member 26. The member 23 also supports two wire loops 24 of spring steel which engage the bulb 11 to provide resilient support therefor. The casting 20 may be supported by a bracket to enable the fitting to be directed and held in an adjusted position. The fitting may be used in an overhead crane.
