Abstract

1360088 Contact lens L LEWISON 22 Oct 1971 49125/71 Heading G2J A contact lens has a flexible body with a peripheral portion 22 intended to contact the sclera, and a plurality of flexible body sections 26, 28, 30 adapted to be spaced from the sclera, in use, which sections can be flexed into contact with the sclera by movement of the eyelid to provide a pumping action for tear fluid. The sections 26, 28, 30 may be ground out of the lens, or the lens moulded with these sections already formed.
