1359850 Stainless steel compositions USS ENGS & CONSULTANTS Inc 24 Aug 1971 [26 Aug 1970] 39714/71 Heading C7A A ferritic stainless steel comprises, in weight per cent: - 6 to 12% chromium up to 0À1% carbon up to 2% manganese 2 to 7% aluminium 0À5 to 3% copper the balance being iron with the combined chromium and aluminium content being at least 12À9%. In an alternative embodiment optionally up to 2% molybdenum may be incorporated, in which case the copper content may be as low as 0À2% provided the combined copper and molybdenum content is at least 0À5%.
