Abstract

1358953 Blanks for containers MAPPEI-ORGANISATIONSMITTEL GmbH 19 April 1972 [22 April 1971] 18174/72 Heading B8P The blank shown in Fig. 6 is folded as shown n Fig. 1, the side wall 10 and base 8 being coplanar and lying against the side wall 1, the side wall flap 12 being folded inwardly, and the end wall flaps 5, 6 of a width x greater than the width y of the end walls 3, 4, being folded over to project into the gap between the side wall 10 and flap 12. The blank can be erected into a container from this position by exerting pressure P on the fold lines 13 between the end walls and the end wall flaps, this serving to open out the end walls 3, 4 and to open out the base 8 by means of the lower edges 14, 15 of the flaps 5, 6 engaging the base 8. The end walls 3, 4, the base 8 and a portion z of the side wall 10 are provided with a plurality of parallel fold lines 17 that the width of -the final container can be varied. The side wall flap 12 bears against the inner side of the side wall 1 and thus holds in place papers filed in the container when the container is not full.
