Abstract

1356435 Introducing and removing odours in buildings NORDISK VENTILATOR CO AS 15 June 1971 [22 June 1970] 28070/71 Heading F4V In an auditorium or business or restaurant premises, apparatus for the controlled introduction and removal of odours in the space occupied by an audience comprises a ventilating system for renewing the air in the space at least twenty times an hour and a second air supply system for introducing an odorous volatile substance into the space in such a concentration that the substance is not sensed after a maximum of two air renewal periods following termination of the supply of the substance. In the form shown, the ventilating air and the substance are supplied through ducts 3, 9 having outlet apertures 4, 10 which are evenly distributed over the horizontal area of the space. Air discharge from the space is through slots 5 and discharge duct 6. The duct 9 may be located at its outlet end within the duct 3. Air flow through duct 9 may be silenced. The ventilating air may be filtered and its temperature and humidity adjusted.
