Abstract
135,455. Etablissements H. Crochat. Nov. 19,1918, [Convention date]. Adjusting and connecting centrally-pivoted axles for steering.-The couplings connecting the vehicles of a road train in which the rear wheels are fixed and the front wheels mounted on pivoted axles are connected to the steering axles by means which produce a deflexion of the wheels equal to one.half of the deflexion of the coupling. The coupling-bars d are pivoted to the tractor vehicles at any point in their longitudinal axis and are provided at their opposite ends with gear-wheels d' which mesh with pinions a<2> mounted on the vehicles; pinions a<3>, integral with the pinions a<2>, mesh with a gear b<4> on the axle b. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises the application of coupling rods to vehicles having all the wheels steerable, the gears b' on each vehicle being connected by a crossed belt. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
