1354138 Fluoroalkyl polyoxyalkylene compounds IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 31 Aug 1972 [15 Oct 1971] 48146/71 Heading C2C [Also in Division C3] Compounds of the general formula wherein R f is either -CF = CF-(CF 2 ) n F or -CF 2 -CFH-(CF 2 ) n F in which n is 0 to 10; L is H or CH 3 , x is 2 to 9, z is 0, 1, or 2 and R and m are selected from the following R f O- and m = 1 and m = a + 2, where a is zero an integer from 1 to 4, -O- and m = 2, R<SP>1</SP>-O- and m = 1, R<SP>1</SP>-CO-O- and m = 1, R<SP>1</SP>-N< and m = 2 and R<SP>1</SP>-S- and m = 1 wherein R<SP>1</SP> is allyl alkyl, alkylphenyl or alkylnaphthyl the alkyl group in each containing 0, 1 or 2 C atoms, are prepared by reacting a terminally-unsaturated straight-chain perfluorolefine and a compound containing a chain of repeating oxyalkylene groups terminating in at least one hydroxyl group, in the presence of a basic compound. Amongst the Examples the compound is prepared.
