Abstract

1352318 Injection moulds EDWARD H THEW Ltd 17 May 1971 [17 March 1970] 12692/70 Heading B5A A mould for injection moulding, e.g. letters and numerals, comprises a mould plate M having a mould cavity cut or otherwise removed therefrom, a face plate F abutting one face of the mould plate and a backing plate B abutting the other face. For moulding name plates having raised lettering, two mould plates may be used, one for the plate and the other for the lettering. The plates F, M and B are located by means of pins p and holes h. Injection is effected through one or more channels c in the mould plate M. The mould plate and backing plate may be of epoxy resin, Al alloy or steel, while the face plate may be of steel with a surface which is mirror finished, textured or patterned.
