Abstract

1352046 Vehicle doors BECKETT LAYCOCK & WATKINSON Ltd 24 March 1972 [21 April 1971] 10499/71 Heading B7J [Also in Division E1] A sliding door assembly comprises an arm 19 pivoted to a frame member 17 of the door aperture and carrying a carriage (not shown) slidable in a track (26) on the door, a rail 20 extending through the aperture and along the wall and engaged by means 29 carried on the door at its side edge. When the door is opened a stop (33, Fig. 9) on arm 19 disengages from a recess in a member (35) on the door and pivots outwardly, the carriage sliding along track (26) and pulley 27 sliding along rail 20. Carriage 24 and roller 22 on the top and bottom of the door respectively run on curved tracks 25, 23.
