Abstract

1351592 Yarn winding RONFRED ENG CO Ltd 19 April 1971 [2 Dec 1969] 58736/69 Heading D1J In a yarn winder a tubular yarn carrier 56 is supported against an end plate 52. An adaptor 68 provides a cylindrical surface 72 against which a driving roller bears during initial winding. The tube 56 is supported for free rotation and displacement against the driving roller. The support may either be from one end, Fig. 3, in which case a cap like adaptor 78 is mounted on the free tube end or two end plates like 52 may be used between the arms of a mounting frame Fig. 1 (not shown), one arm being resiliently movable away from the other. In Fig. 3 a garter spring 66 grips the tube interior. The adaptor 68 is suitably made from hard plastics material.
