1351050 Decolorizing polyethylene polyamines TOYA SODA MFG CO Ltd 21 Dec 1971 [28 Dec 1970] 59358/71 Heading C2C Discoloured polyethylene polyamines (i.e. compounds containing -(-CH 2 CH 2 NH-) n - where n is 1-5, and including ethylene diamine and cyclic compounds such as piperazine and N-2- aminoethylpiperazine) are decolorized by distilling them in the presence of a polyethylene polyamine hydrochloride, preferably in amount 0À1-10 parts by weight (calculated as HCl) to 100 parts by weight of the polyethylene poly. amine present. The starting material may be the product of reaction of ethylene dichloride with ammonia.
