1350896 Pre-paid travel ticket systems LONDON TRANSPORT EXECUTIVE and M H WHEAT 11 Aug 1971 [14 Aug 1970] 39305/70 Heading G4T Data, borne on a ticket 3 and representing remaining pre-paid fare value, is sensed at 5 and stored at 7, buttons 9 are operated to produce a signal representing the fare value of a journey to be made, the difference between the pre-paid and the journey fare values is computed at 8 and fed to a printer 11, and the printer up-dates the remaining pre-paid fare value data on the ticket (this data may be magnetically encoded) and also legibly prints on the ticket the remaining value and the number of the boarding stage at which the journey commences.
