Abstract
1350387 Liquid atomisers SIMMS GROUP RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT Ltd 20 July 1971 [22 Aug 1970] 40542/70 Heading B2F An atomiser has a body portion 1 adapted for connection to an ultrasonic vibrator, a passage 4 terminating in orifices 2, means, 3, for feeding air under pressure to the passage 4 and means 5, (6) to supply liquid to be sprayed to the passage (Fig. 2, not shown) or over the body portion at the orifice. The combined effect of the vibration and the stream of air is to atomise the liquid. The apparatus is particularly useful for viscous liquids.
