Abstract

1348633 Skirting boards K S TAYLOR 28 May 1971 [18 March 1970] 12909/70 Heading E1B A skirting board or architrave comprises an extruded plastics strip 12 with a longitudinal flange 14 defining the limit of a plaster wall covering 26 and a further parallel flange 34 defining an upper channel with longitudinal corrugations on the inner walls. The inner corrugations engage external beads on the ends of the walls 32 of a channel shaped cover which conceals the edge of the plaster 26 and wires or conduits 18. External corrugations on the flange 14 key with the plaster 26 and the skirting is secured to the wall and floor by means of nails 22, 28. The board may include built in sockets of switches.
