Abstract

1348298 Sealing strips SCHLEGEL (UK) Ltd 22 Nov 1971 54132/71 Heading E1J A flange edge protector comprises a U- shaped portion 13 from which extends a plate portion 15 with a flanged edge. The flange is on a vehicle body and the plate forms a doorsill or head liner. The plate and U-shaped portion are integrally extruded or moulded of plastics, fins 19 being of softer material, and door seal 21 is secured by heat sealing. Alternatively the plate and U-shaped portion are formed separately and heat-sealed together (Fig. 3, not shown).
