Abstract

1347769 Cable-guided missiles MESSERSCHMITT-BOLKOW-BLOHM GmbH 24 May 1971 [3 June 1970] 16693/71 Heading F3A A jet-propelled, cable-guided, anti-tank missile comprises at its stern a rocket nozzle 3, a pyrotechnic tracer device 8, and a reel 5 from which the signal cable 9 is unwound, the cable and reel being protected from the hot gases and sparks emerging from the nozzle 3 and pyrotechnic device 8 by means of a ram or forced cooling air flowing to the rear of the missile through channels 16, 17 and 18 and annular passages 11 and 12. The cable and reel are also protected against an incandescent charge 21 by air flowing through a passage 22.
