Abstract

1346683 Synthetic faujasite BAYER AG 18 May 1971 [9 June 1970] 15464/71 Heading C1A A faujasite of the formula is prepared by hydrothermally crystallizing at a temp. of 20-120‹ C. without a prior ageing step a reaction mixture having the composition expressed as molar ratio of the oxides within the range wherein the mixture contains SiO 2 having a B.E.T. surface area of 150-250 m.<SP>2</SP>/g. and sodium aluminate optionally dissolved in aq. NaOH. The reaction mixture may be prepared at 15-35‹ C. using SiO 2 hydrosols and/or fillers, homogenized for a few mins., heated with stirring to the crystallization temp., and then crystallized at this temp. for 1-16 hrs. with continued stirring.
