Abstract

1345984 Price computer; measuring fluid flow. PAN-NOVA Inc 21 Jan 1972 [30 April 1971] 3075/72 Headings G4A G4H and G4D In a computer for multiplying unit price by volume of a dispensed material, each of a train of pulses representing unit volumes of the material dispensed opens a gate 21 to release pulses from a clock into a counter 40-42 until the contents is equal to a value set on switches 44-46 representing the price per unit volume when a logic circuit 52-54 delivers a pulse to close the gate; the pulses released by gate 21 are also accumulated in a counter 30-35 recording the total price of the material dispensed. Another counter records the total volume and the total volume and price and the unit price set by the switches 44-46 are displayed at 20, 36, 50, for example, by digitron tubes. The counters all operate in binary coded decimal. The volumes pulses are derived from a flow meter employing a magnet 13 and reed contact 11.
