Abstract
1344655 Basic ethers KONINKLIJKE PHARMACEUTISCHE FABRIEKEN 17 Nov 1972 [24 Nov 1971] 54624/71 Heading C2C Compounds of the general formula (R 1-6 = H, C 1-6 alkyl; R 7 = branched C 3-6 alkyl, Ph-(C 1-6 alkyl)) and their salts are prepared by standard methods, e.g. by reacting a corresponding 3-halopropyl benzhydryl ether with R 7 NH 2 , optionally followed by salt formation. The starting materials are prepared by reacting the corresponding benzhydrol with a 3- halopropanol. The above compounds are anti-arrhythmics and local anaesthetics, and may be administered in the form of pharmaceutical preparations containing them in association with a carrier.
