Abstract
1344259 Amusement device F FOX 19 April 1971 [9 April 1970] 16940/70 Heading A6H An amusement device comprises a body having marked on its surface a number of areas, each area comprising a 3x3 array of marked positions. The body has a curved or planar facetted surface and the areas are such that some of the marked positions are common to more than one area. As exemplified, a sphere may be marked into 26 sections by printing, grooves, recesses or wires located in the body. A smooth surface may be provided on which a game of "noughts and crosses" may be played with an erasable crayon. Apertures 5, may be provided (see Fig. 5) by which playing pieces, e.g. representing letters for a word-game or figures can be affixed to the body. The body is preferably made up of discrete sections held together by tongue and groove connections and rotatable with respect to one another. The sections may be different coloured and the body may be employed as a pattern-forming toy.
